Parks Victoria reports storm landslip on Angusvale Track past the Rock Creek camp area. Vehicles cannot use the Mitchell River ford between Angusvale Track and Hortons Track. Do not attempt to cross from Hortons Track for west-side access. Rock Creek camp remains accessible via Angusvale Track / Mitchell Views Track from Mitchell River Road — confirm on the official park page before you travel.

As of the 23 August 2026 review, Parks Victoria still reports Angusvale Track past Rock Creek closed to the Horton’s Crossing river ford after landslip — do not try to drive across from Hortons Track to the west side. Rock Creek camp is described as still accessible via Angusvale Track / Mitchell Views Track from Mitchell River Road. Re-check the park page before you travel.
Paddling from Angusvale is skill- and level-dependent; grade and portages change with flow.
